Professor George Edward Challenger, sometime consultant to the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, made a return expedition to South America, where he explored Maple White Land, where there were dinosaurs. The Second Murray League visited Launcelot's tomb in Northumberland, for reasons that remain unexplained, before returning to London. Thereafter, Allan Quatermain and Mina Murray traveled across Endor on holiday, briefly investigating the Castle Dracula and Selene before arriving at the destination, Evarchia, on the coast of the Black Sea. Meanwhile, in London, Thomas Carnacki encountered a spirit that gave him precognitive visions, portending the League's clash with Les Hommes Mysterieux in Paris and the onset of World War I. British Intelligence, swayed by artful propaganda disseminated by Die Zweilicht-Helden, supposed that France planned to provoke a world war with their Hommes Mysterieux.[1][2]

The Village was created.[3]

  • April: The angel Balthazar arrived from the year 2010 and took up a job on the RMS Titanic as an officer. [4]
  • April 14: Balthazar managed to alert the officers to the dangers of the iceberg and thus saved millions of people from drowning and saved the entire ship, altering history dramatically and enabling the Titanic to sail from Bristol to New York unimpeded. However, this, coupled with Dean Winchester averting the Apocalypse, put Atropos out of her job. Desperate to put things right, Atropos began killing off the descendants of those onboard the Titanic who survived. Things were only reverted when Balthazar was persuaded by Castiel to go back to 1912 and change history back to normal by sinking the Titanic.[5]
